Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: the email address you sign in with, and an optional display name and profile photo.
• The content you create: memories you save (photos, voice recordings, video clips, written entries), the mood/tags you attach to them, kid profiles (name, birthdate, bio, photo), and milestones.
• Push notification info: if you turn on reminders, your browser gives us a push subscription (not tied to your identity beyond your account) so we can send that one notification.

We don't use analytics tools, ad trackers, or any third-party scripts that follow you around. There's nothing on this site trying to profile you.

How we use it

Only to run the app: storing your entries and showing them back to you, sending the optional daily or weekly reminder emails or notifications you opt into, and sending a legacy-delivery email if you've set one up for a child. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your content to train any AI model.

Who can see your data

By default, only you. Memory Keeper also has two features that intentionally let someone else in, and it's worth understanding both:

• Trusted sharing: you can generate a private, hard-to-guess link that lets whoever holds it view a read-only version of a kid's memories, no account needed. Anyone with that link can view it — treat it like a password, and only share it with people you trust.
• Legacy delivery: if you set a delivery email for a child, that email automatically receives a similar read-only link once the child turns 18 (or sooner, if you or a designated trusted contact send it manually). This is meant to guarantee your memories reach your kid — but it still depends on this service continuing to run and be paid for. It's a tool, not a legal guarantee.

A note on children's privacy

Memory Keeper is built for parents and guardians to record their own memories about their kids. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children, and the service isn't directed at or marketed to children. Everything entered about a child is entered by the adult account holder.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and they only ever see what's necessary to do their job:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — hosts the app.
• Resend — delivers our transactional emails (sign-in links, reminders, legacy delivery).

None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Your memories stay in your account until you delete them yourself. If you'd like your entire account and all associated data permanently deleted, email support@memorykeeper.us and we'll take care of it.

Security

We use industry-standard protections — encrypted connections, and database rules that restrict every record to its owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, active steps to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Memory Keeper after a change means you accept the update.
