What Memory Keeper is

A private place to record memories, photos, voice notes, and videos of your kids, with optional tools to share a read-only view with someone you trust, or automatically deliver those memories to your child later in life.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. Memory Keeper is meant to be used by a parent or guardian to record their own memories — content about a child is entered by the adult account holder, not by the child.

Your account

You sign in with an emailed link or code instead of a password, so keeping your email account secure is what keeps Memory Keeper secure. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for who you choose to share a trusted link with — anyone holding that link can view what it points to.

Your content

What you upload — your photos, recordings, and writing — stays yours. We don't claim ownership of it. You give us only the limited permission needed to store it and show it back to you (and to whoever you deliberately share a link with). We don't use your content for advertising, AI training, or anything beyond running the app for you.

Please only upload content you have the right to share — don't use Memory Keeper to store or share anything illegal, or anything that violates someone else's rights.

Sharing and legacy delivery

These features are provided as best-effort tools, not guarantees. In particular, the legacy delivery feature (sending a child their memories once they turn 18, even if something happens to you) depends on Memory Keeper continuing to operate and be hosted — it is not a substitute for a will, a formal estate plan, or legal advice about how to pass on digital assets. We'd strongly encourage setting up a trusted contact as a backup, and not relying on this feature alone for something this important.

Ending your account

You can stop using Memory Keeper anytime. To fully delete your account and everything in it, email support@memorykeeper.us. We may also suspend or remove an account that's used to violate these terms or store illegal content.

No warranty

Memory Keeper is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or permanent. Please don't treat it as your only copy of anything truly irreplaceable — the “download everything” export exists for exactly this reason, and we'd encourage using it now and then.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Memory Keeper isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what, if anything, you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Memory Keeper after a change means you accept the update.
